The new solution helped employees convert incoming files, upload them to the electronic document management (EDM) system, and process documents faster and more easily.
PJSC SZ Servernaya Verf (part of JSC OSK) has added R7 Office, a professional Russian office software product listed in the Unified Register of Russian Software, to its information infrastructure. R7 Office helped speed up the processing and conversion of office documents through a web service, with no disruption for users.
In the longer term, we are considering a full transition to R7 Office for all of the company's employees. However, this process requires resolving a number of issues, since not all enterprises within JSC OSK use R7 Office to its full extent. To address these issues, the R7 Office web service must be deployed and configured for all enterprises within JSC OSK.
Nizhny Tagil School No. 100 obtained R7 Office licenses in November 2019, immediately after the school opened. The system has been integrated into the institution's information processes since the moment of deployment.
R7 Office platform capabilities helped the school get through its second period of remote work this year with almost no disruption.
With R7 Office, the school was able to organize remote collaboration among teachers within a unified school information system, and also make life easier for students by setting up file sharing as part of the learning process.
The transition to a Russian-made solution was carried out as part of the import substitution program. The decision to migrate employees was made based on the results of testing involving one of the institution's departments.
When choosing new software, we had to balance several criteria at once. We needed applications that would install easily on any OS, open files in all formats, and at the same time require no retraining and not cost us a fortune.
R7 Office met all of these needs.
R7 Office was integrated into the corporate cloud for collaborative document editing. The project demonstrated flexibility, stability, and ease of use, on par with Microsoft but at no cost. For the company, this is an important import substitution case for large businesses.
