Winners of the 3rd All-Russian Spreadsheet Editor Championship for R7 Office Announced
The winners of the 3rd All-Russian Spreadsheet Editor Championship, “Edit the Future,” have been announced. Specialists from across Russia competed for cash prizes, learned to work with modern Russian software, and shared practical experience.

For three years, the project has helped specialists move to Russian software and improved their proficiency with office tools for solving business problems. This year, the championship was held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development. The championship’s partner was VK Tech, a Russian vendor of enterprise software. The championship was run by the organizing committee of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.

In 2026, the competition was split into three tracks for the first time: the main track, a track for schoolchildren, and a presentation track. The number of participants grew compared with last year: more than 1,500 people from 59 regions of Russia took part. This year, 380 companies also joined the competition. More than 400 schools took part in the schoolchildren’s track.

Eleven teams of three people reached the final of the main Spreadsheet Editor track. To make it onto the podium, finalists had to demonstrate a high level of Spreadsheet Editor skills: perform complex calculations, visualize data clearly, use pivot tables effectively, and prove that their chosen solution was correct.

The championship’s total prize pool exceeded 2,200,000 rubles, plus certificates for the R7 Office presentation training course, diplomas, and commemorative prizes. The team “Algoritm” received the championship winner’s cup and a cash prize of 1,000,000 rubles. The award was presented by Dmitry Nikitin, Director of the Department for Information Technology Industry Development at the Russian Ministry of Digital Development. The silver medalist was the team “Kod budushchego” (Code of the Future) from PJSC Rosseti Northwest, which will share 600,000 rubles. The bronze medalist, the team “Ne stantsiya sportivnaya,” was awarded 400,000 rubles.

The championship is growing along with the IT market. This year, we added tracks for schoolchildren and for people who work with presentations for the first time, and it paid off: the geography of participants has expanded noticeably. It is especially valuable that specialists come here not only for prizes, but also for experience, connections, and the chance to test themselves on real-world tasks. For us as a vendor, it matters that participants become part of a large community, ambassadors who use R7 Office every day, make it better, and dispel distrust of Russian solutions.

Evgeny Shelkovnikov
CEO of R7

For three years running, the championship has shown that Russian tools are becoming part of everyday work, and that participants use them with a high level of skill. Adding a track for schoolchildren makes the championship an important way to promote Russian solutions among young people. Demand for Russian solutions is growing thanks to competitions like this, the contribution of developers, and the systematic import substitution work we have been doing for more than ten years.

Today, critical thinking and data-driven decision-making are becoming key skills, and the championship gives participants a chance to put them into practice. Competitions like this help build a strong professional community. Specialists who are ready to solve complex problems and move the industry forward have gathered here. We are glad to be part of the R7 championship and are confident that it has a great future ahead.
